We are the end unit, in a quiet cluster of homes in the heart of the Centretown, walking distance to everything. One kilometre from Parliament Hill and Bank St, which is the main shopping street, two kilometres to the Rideau Canal and the University of Ottawa, three and a half kilometres to Carleton University and the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus, and two blocks to the transitway, which can easily take you anywhere else you want to go. As well, Ottawa is a very cycle-friendly city, with an extensive network of bicycle paths and lanes, and we will leave bicycles for your use. The car is negotiable, at an extra cost, if so desired.

An executive town home, it features versatile, open concept living spaces on three floors. The entry level has a garage, a foyer, a two-piece bathroom, and a 12’ X 10’ room that we currently use as a bedroom for our teenage son, but would also make an ideal home office. It has its own door to a small rear garden.

The main level has a large open concept living room with a balcony above the garden. We currently have the room set up to include a library/workstation and a music nook, but it could be re-arranged to include a dining room if preferred. The kitchen is also one large room, with an eating area, a coffee station, lots of cupboards, and a front balcony. You will find everything you might need by way of cooking implements, dishes and linens in this kitchen.
The upper level has two rooms, each with a full bathroom. The large ensuite in the master bedroom has a double shower with two shower heads. The second room is currently set up as a sewing room/guest room, but could be re-configured to another bedroom if preferred. It’s ensuite has a standard bathtub. All the linens and the laundry machines are located in the hall closets on this floor.

We will be taking a one-year sabbatical to go sailing, and would like to leave our home with caring and responsible people. It is a very low-maintenance home, with contracted snow removal, and a property manager/handyman to take care of any problems that may arise. It is a very comfortable and practical home-away-from-home for a couple or small family coming to Ottawa for the year. Sorry, no smoking and no pets.
